Eminem Lands First No. 1 On Billboard Hot Christian Songs Chart (Yes, Christian)

Image
Eminem has been able to land his debut No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart – and, no the hell isn’t over. Based on a post by Chart Data the contribution of Slim Shady to DJ Khaled’s “Use This Gospel (Remix)” featuring Kanye West has earned the controversial rapper another star up the Billboard belt. @djkhaled and @kanyeWest’s “Use The gospel (Remix)” is released at number one on the Hot Christian Songs chart,” the tweet said. “DJ Khaled, as well as Eminem, get their first #1 single.” As many people have pointed out in the comments section, Eminem as well as Eminem and Hot Christian Songs chart placement wasn’t on anyone’s Bingo card. The catalog of the diamond-selling artist is full of topics that aren’t necessarily deemed appropriate for worshippers of Jesus’ ears, ranging from fictional murders to rampant drug abuse to seemingly innumerable cuss words and references to his nebulous regions. As he did in t...

Young Guru Shares Proof Of Jay-z Recording ‘god Did’ Verse In One Take

Image
Young Guru  has provided evidence that proves  JAY-Z   actually penned his featured verse on  DJ Khaled ‘s Billboard chart-topping album track “ GOD DID ” in one performance. The following Sunday (September 4.), Guru shared a post on Instagram showing a slideshow featuring two images from the session where he recorded HOV’s lyrics and both of them show an audio recording from the whole session. In the long caption of the post, JAY-Z’s veteran engineer did not just double down to his earlier claims but also outlined the top stage of preparation HOV performs before getting into the booth to record a song in that kind of size. “This is first and last time I’m gonna do this,” Young Guru wrote. “I would not care whether you accept my word that he performed the @djkhaled verse in just one go. Let’s get it straight for youngsters. A song that can be done in one go is an additional benefit to the talent level. The song is the thing that is...

Jay-z Releases Ari Melber’s ‘god Did’ Msnbc Breakdown On Tidal, Spotify & Apple Music

Image
Jay-Z’s song of DJ Khaled’s “ GOD DID “ track resulted in a 12-minute break-down by MSNBC’s hip Hom-quoting anchor Ari Melber – and the song is now available through Hov’s official accounts on Apple Music, Spotify, and TIDAL. The track that was released in the early hours of the 2nd of September (September 2.) in the form of “HOV DID” – is essentially a direct replay of Melber’s meticulously thorough analysis. “As a journalist, I report on an interview many artists,” Melber stated to HipHopDX. “But having JAY-Z publish the report we wrote on his song as a track is the first time – and a great honor. JAY-Z sharing the report with his listeners enhances the meaning to the public domain, making a beat story into a sort of audio-guide to accompany his incredibly dense and profound lyrics about his life and the absurdity that is the battle over drugs.” He went on to say, “And as Jay might say, he sampled my voice, and turned it to ‘a hot song.’ As for whether I was using my voice ...

Charlamagne Tha God Weighs In On Jay-z’s Greatest Verses Debate: ‘there’s Too Many

Image
Charlamagne Tha God  joined the conversation about  JAYZ’s highly praised “ GOD DID ” verse. He said that it’s impossible to rank his verses as too many are so great. In the latest episode The Breakfast Club’s Rumor report, Charlamagne and DJ Envy discussed Hov’s longevity. Charlamagne asked, “Why are people ranking that Hov verse?” Charlamagne asked, “Like I don’t think you could rank Hov verses as there’s too many that’re great if they’re better than this ‘GOD DID’ verse. So how do you even begin to think about ranking them?” DJ Envy chimed-in to echo a point made earlier by Young Guru, that JAYZ is 52 years of age and still raps with youthful energy. Charlamagne stated, “I believe that’s what makes people amazing.” “Cause to my mind, the verse sounds really amazing, but here’s what. JAY-Z is truly great. He has been consistently great for a very long time. People often say, “Oh my God!” This is one Hov’s greatest verses! It’s just ...

Jay-z Says He Slightly ‘cheated’ With His One Take ‘god Did’ Verse

Image
JAY-Z has acknowledged that he didn’t quite record his verse for DJ Khaled’s “GOD DID” in one take, saying he gave it some practice before entering the recording booth. Hov’s longtime engineer Young Guru claimed earlier this week that the Marcy veteran spat his nearly four-minute line for DJ Khaled ‘s new album in a single motion. Guru said he’d never seen anything like it before despite their extensive working history together. Jigga confirmed that this wasn’t entirely true during a Twitter Spaces conversation on Thursday night (August 31) involving DJ Khaled, JAY-Z, Lenny S, and Rob Markman. Guru played Dr. Frankenstein and put together a loop for the tune that contained the song’s original hook while Jay waited in the studio for Khaled to deliver him the instrumental in its entirety. Jay performed a few practice bars on this. “So while we were waiting for you to send the beat, we were just playing the [loop] inside the control room; so I was going through it a couple of ti...

JAY-Z I love you, and you’re aware of that.” DJ Khaled released the c...
