Dr. Dre Credits The D.O.C. For Convincing Him To Rap On ‘the Chronic’ Album With Snoop Dogg & More
Dr. Dre is credited to The D.O.C . for influencing him to sing for The Chronic, his multiplatinum album from 1992. In an interview on an interviewer on the “Workout the Doubt” by Dolvett Quince, the Beats mogul spoke about how initially he didn’t intend on doing a rap on the album in any way. Evidently, plans changed, and he was able to lend his voice to classic singles like “Nuthin’ But A G Thang” and “Let Me Ride.” “The D.O.C., my friend, talked me into to getting on the mic and actually doing that thing,” the man said. “Before this, I wasn’t going to be on the mic. I wanted to relax and make music that was the concept that led to the Chronic album My first solo album.
