50 Cent’s Former Sire Spirits Brand Manager Allegedly Embezzled $2.2m From Company
Former Sire Spirits Brand Manager for 50 Cent allegedly stole millions from the rapper’s business and has now been ordered to repay it all. According to documents from Manhattan Federal Court obtained by The New York Post, Mitchell Gree. The director of brand management at Le Chemin du Roi champagne, stole more than $2 million from the business before being discovered in 2020. The “The King’s Path”-named champagne firm was established in 2019 by 50 Cent’s company Sire Spirits. According to court records, Green allegedly inflated rates for the champagne, which already sells for more than $150 per bottle, and took additional bribes from wholesalers that he passed off as “agency fees.” The documents also reveal that Green didn’t admit to the scheme until February 2020, when a third party started extorting him and threatening to reveal him.
