It premiered on Sept. 2 and has received a mix of critical acclaim and fan bashing, but it is also racking up impressive ratings on Nielsen. According to the latest numbers, the first two episodes were viewed by 12.6 million U.S. viewers within the first four days. Since the premiere episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Power of the Rings debuted on Prime Video, hundreds of reviews were posted, rating the show one star for reasons as uninvolved and uninterested such as “looks cheap” and ” boring.” But it was clear that with many introductions and putting in place, there was always going to be a slow start until the plot began to get real which was evident at the conclusion of episode six. The new promo poster teases an epic finale that will be a part of the first season of the series.
