Recently, a new excuse has surfaced as a reason for Aaron Rodgers not staying at the MVP level of play we’ve seen in the last two seasons. Every year we’ve been hearing about the major changes that have taken place to players in the Green Bay Packers receivers’ room, including two of his top three targets switching teams. The truth is that Rodgers is struggling to be to the same level as his younger pass-catchers while moving from a passing attack which averaged eighth in terms of number of yards in the 2021 season to one that places 19th in 2022. Some have suggested Rodgers has lost a step since the age of 39 and that’s the reason he’s in the process of accumulating the smallest amount of yards per game during the 15 seasons he’s been an active player.
