Gun Violence Has Killed At Least 1 Rapper Every Year Since 2018
The Los Angeles hip-hop scene was shocked by the murder of artist PnB Rock this week, but the discussions that followed were old hat. According to Los Angeles Police Department Chief Michel Moore , the rapper was shot while dining with his girlfriend at Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N Waffles in what seems to be a robbery. Notably, Moore said that a photo of the couple’s supper with the location labeled had been uploaded to Instagram. PnB Rock is not the first rapper to pass away from gun violence, but his passing adds to a pattern that at least stretches back to 2018.
