DJ Khaled Says Jay-z Picked His Latest Cover Art & Says “God Did” Is His Best Album

DJ Khaled has disclosed his JAY-Z chose the artwork on his forthcoming 13th album God did which drops this the 26th of August (August 26).
We The Best boss revealed the revelation. We The Best boss made the disclosure in a recent conversation in which he was interviewed by Billboard’s vice director for Hip Hop and R&B Carl Lamarre. According to Khaled Khaled, He stuck to the same pattern of the process of having Hov pick a cover of two options, as well as disclosing that the Brooklyn legend believes that God did is his most memorable album.
“I have to be the largest Jay-Z fan and actually let him choose my album’s cover. I usually give him two options for covers and then determine which one he’d select and I did it once more on this album.” Khaled said. “After I finished playing the album I was greeted by him and said, ‘This is your greatest album. JAY-Z I love you, and you’re aware of that.”
DJ Khaled released the cover art earlier in the week on social media, displaying his face printed across the front, with tears of happiness falling out of his eyes.
“VGOD has released the official album cover,” he wrote. “The tear is a symbol of tears of joy that God’s blessings. God I LOVE U So much! ???? ?????? God, thank you for blessing my family as well as my friends and supporters. If no one believed you, YOU DID! I praise you daily. We’re here to do GODS WORK! !”

Alongside helping choose the album’s cover, JAY Z is also one of the names in the project, and JAY-Z’s work has generated plenty of attention. Earlier this month, DJ Khaled shared a photo of his startling reaction to hearing JAY-Z’s verse, along with a screenshot of himself on FaceTime with an equally stunned Young Guru and Roc Nation executive/photographer Lenny “Kodak Lens” Santiago.
Young Guru raised the bar up a notch by tweeting “HOV is the best of all time. It’s not been a question for a long time! !”
Lenny S, meanwhile posted a picture via Instagram that shows Hov in Jungle City Studios, the legendary NYC studio in which he and other artists like Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, and Rihanna have recorded in the past.
“If you’re a true Artist you’re aware of exactly the location and know exactly what’s going on,” he wrote in the caption. “@djkhaled @youngguru763 Best way to do this ever” !”
DJ Khaled is swinging for the fences when he calls on the biggest names for his forthcoming album. The tracklist was revealed this week, which features Drake, Kanye West, Eminem, Travis Scott, Future, SZA, Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, Don Toliver, Juice WRLD, Jadakiss, Latto, City Girls, Kodak Black, Quavo, Rick Ross and many more.
