Drake posted in an Instagram account on October 18 2022 that stated in which he claimed he was given $100 to play the opening for Ice Cube in the early days in his professional career. The announcement comes following that the Flyer Vault — an Instagram account that chronicles Toronto concert and club history — released expenses from the 2006 concert held in Toronto’s Kool Haus headlined by Ice Cube . The Flyer Vault claims that in a 2006 account, Drake played songs from his first mixtape, Room for Improvement, while opening for the legendary hip-hop artist.
