Drake Confirms The Surprising Amount He Made Opening For Ice Cube

Drake posted in an Instagram account on October 18 2022 that stated in which he claimed he was given $100 to play the opening for Ice Cube in the early days in his professional career.

The announcement comes following that the Flyer Vault — an Instagram account that chronicles Toronto concert and club history — released expenses from the 2006 concert held in Toronto’s Kool Haus headlined by Ice Cube. The Flyer Vault claims that in a 2006 account, Drake played songs from his first mixtape, Room for Improvement, while opening for the legendary hip-hop artist.

Four-time Grammy Award winner shared the post on Instagram with the caption “This is for anybody getting 100 a show right now… Keep going.”

There were previously many reports about the low-paying amount for the job in the year.

The flier also displayed a blacked-out line of invoices from Ramos Entertainment Management Group except for the invoice to Drake which is $100.

In fact the amount given to Drake, Drake – whose real name is Aubrey Graham — provided some words of advice for those facing similar challenges when they began their musical careers.

However, the Canadian rapper reportedly boasts a net worth of $250 million to his name now, according to musicdope90s.com

The news comes just days following Pitchforkreported they had reported that Drake as well as fellow Canadian artist the Weeknd have not submitted songs to the Recording Academy to be considered for Grammys evaluation for the 2nd time in two years.

Then, in December of 2021 Drake removed the Grammy nominations he was awarded on his debut album The Certified Lover Boy and the track, Way 2 Sexy. Drake, a four-time Grammy winner who also opted not to present his mixtape of 2017 A Little Life to be considered for the award -has been vocal for a long time of the Grammy Awards and of the Recording Academy, per the LA Times.

Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, Warren G  and more will be on touring in the month of December to perform a tour on time for the Christmas season .
