50 Cent’s Former Sire Spirits Brand Manager Allegedly Embezzled $2.2m From Company

Former Sire Spirits Brand Manager for 50 Cent allegedly stole millions from the rapper’s business and has now been ordered to repay it all.

According to documents from Manhattan Federal Court obtained by The New York Post, Mitchell Gree. The director of brand management at Le Chemin du Roi champagne, stole more than $2 million from the business before being discovered in 2020.

The “The King’s Path”-named champagne firm was established in 2019 by 50 Cent’s company Sire Spirits.

According to court records, Green allegedly inflated rates for the champagne, which already sells for more than $150 per bottle, and took additional bribes from wholesalers that he passed off as “agency fees.”

The documents also reveal that Green didn’t admit to the scheme until February 2020, when a third party started extorting him and threatening to reveal him.

When Sire Spirits sacked him and took him to arbitration, the arbitrator determined that he was responsible for all of the money that was stolen as well as an additional $948,096 that was given to a distributor. Green’s overall debt was increased to $6.2 million by the arbitrator’s further judgment that he pay $2.7 million in legal fees and other expenses.

In June, a Manhattan judge upheld the arbitrator’s ruling.

One of 50 Cent’s most successful businesses is Sire Spirits. The G-Unit boss signed a multi-year cooperation agreement with the Sacramento Kings in July. The Golden 1 Center in Sacramento will now feature a 500-bottle Le Chemin du Roi Champagne Wall as 50’s champagne takes over as the presenting beverage sponsor.

Fiddy and the Houston Rockets also agreed to a multi-year collaboration back in March. The Toyota Center will now contain Sire Spirits-themed bars, a court-side area, a private suite (which will belong to the rapper), and a restaurant with Branson Cognac and Le Chemin du Roi Champagne.

50 announced the Sacramento Kings collab on Instagram by doing what he does best: trolling his haters. “Please don’t let this overwhelm you,” he wrote. “If you don’t like me try to relax, because things are going to get very very hard for you. LOL.”
