The Takeoff Shooter Accused Said He Is Ill-informed

The man who is accused of killing and shooting TakeOff claims to be innocent.
Fox19 reports that 33-year-old Patrick Xavier Clark appeared in court today (December 5) His lawyer said that the defendant did not shoot the gun during the November 1 death of the Migos rapper. In court, the prosecution and Clark’s defense attorneys negotiated to have an additional court hearing to reduce the amount of bond later in the month on the 14th of December.
Clark who is known within Houston in Houston as DJ Pat Clark, who is known locally as DJ Pat arrested for murder on the 1st of December and is currently being placed with a $2 million bond. Clark is believed to have tried to flee to Mexico prior to his arrest, but he was detained.
A motion filed during an appearance before a bond hearing claimed that Clark sought an expedited passport soon after TakeOff passed away on November 1. The defendant allegedly presented a Mexico-bound itinerary to justify the rush request. Houston prosecutor used the information as well as the arrest report which says that Clark was carrying an extensive sum of money at the time his arrest and asked the court to determine if he was as a risk to fly.
Attorney Letitia Quinones has told reporters after the court hearing that her client was “nervous and worried” due to the fact that “he’s being accused of something he believes he’s not guilty of, so what can anyone respond in this kind of situation?”
Concerning whether or not her client knew about TakeOff, Quinones said, “We do not want to get in the details at this moment..
“There is a great deal of investigation to be completed,” she added. “So we’re asking that you remain open as well as let the system play its work as well as let the Constitution play its role, which is that at present, the accused is innocent until proven guilty.”
The first arrests in the shooting of TakeOff was taken place last monthwhen the rapper, who is 16 years old Lil Cam (real name Cameron Joshua) was arrested in Houston on the 22nd of November. He was accused of felony unlawful carrying of firearm.
Prosecutors claimed that surveillance footage shows Lil Cam brandishing a weapon near his location of crime, however the office of the district attorney didn’t go as far as to claim that he fired those fatal shots.
When speaking to the media this week, the lawyer for Cam, Christopher Downey repeated that his client wasn’t accountable for the murder of Takeoff and that speculation about Takeoff’s murder was not helping the situation.
“I haven’t found anything that suggests there was any evidence that Cameron Joshua had anything to have anything to do with the shooting incident, or that the firearm he fired caused TakeOff’s death, or was he in any way involved,” Downey said. “My belief is that there was some kind of conflict.
“I’m acquainted with all the Instagram people who are sleuths. I’m reminded of the person trying to identify the elephant’s trunk thinking it’s an animal. In the end, they’re not right. Cameron Joshua did not shoot TakeOff.”
