Kanye West Kicked Off Twitter Once Again, as Hate Speech on Social Network Soars
Kanye West – now referred to as Ye has time been banned from Twitter after he posted an image of a swastika in the Star of David.
According to research the spread of hatred speech is growing on the social media site since it was acquired by Elon Musk for $44 billion.
A study done by the Center for Countering Digital Hate discovered that the use of slurs aimed at blacks increased by three times in the 2 weeks following the taking over. In addition, slurs directed at gay people and posts that criticized homosexuality were both at 60%.
“Elon Musk sent up the Bat Signal to every kind of racist, misogynist, and homophobe that Twitter was open for business,” said Imran Ahmed, CEO of the Center for Countering Digital Hate. “They have reacted accordingly.”
The report comes just a week after Musk felicitated his drastically reduced content moderation team after revealing that hate speech impression, which is that the number of people who saw tweets that were not posted -decreased by one-third.
Ahmed was adamant about this Ahmed called it slanderous, declaring:
“Elon Musk has again been exposed as misleading users and advertisers, claiming mission accomplished despite his clear failure to meet his own self-proclaimed standards to clamp down on vicious bigotry. Community standards ensure users feel welcome and advertisers’ brands are safe. “
This latter group, known as advertising, happens to be the one which Musk appears to be paying the most focus on.
Companies such as GM, Volkswagen and Audi and Pfizer, General Mills and Oreo maker Mondelez and, more specifically, Apple have halted or canceled advertisements since Musk — who self-described as a “free speech absolutist” -was in charge and started restoring or even making it clear that he was planning to reinstate blocked accounts.

The two most recently restored presidents included ex-presidents Donald Trump and Ye, but Musk said that his decision to suspend West was made prior to his taking charge.
The pullbacks in advertising by companies worried that their messages might be displayed alongside angered protest to Musk who threatened “thermonuclear name and shame” against companies that pulled advertisements. This is because the threat to kill customers worried about nuclear war is a common method of keeping businesses.
Apple attracted the most enthralling reaction to its tweets from Musk on Twitter “Do they hate free speech in America?”
A possibility of a much bigger issue can be the fact that Apple has warned Twitter that their app may be removed from the App Store due to infractions to “appropriate content” standards -effectively shutting it down 1.2 billion iPhones.
In the case of Ye plans to purchase the far right’s most popular Twitter rival Parler failed, which means his Twitter suspension might cut the amount of his trolling.
