21 Savage Assists He & Nas Were Planning To Work Together Prior To Their Recent Clash

21 Savage has revealed that his latest collaborative project together with Nas has been being planned even before his recent misinterpreted remarks about relevance.

Like his previous remarks about Nas, 21 Savage revealed the information in the Clubhouse chat that was shared on the internet on Thursday (December 1.).

“Me and Nas talked about creating music and putting it on my children,” 21 can be seen saying in the video. “Way before the other stuff occurred. We’ve been trying to figure out how we were going to perform a song prior to this. I was with my mother. I was given his number.

He added: “He been telling me that he was a big fan of my”shit. I’ve been telling him exactly the exact same thing prior to when all this occurred. So, he did not take the words I spoke of in a disrespectful manner. Because he understood the meaning behind what I wanted to convey. Because I’m not this kind of n-gga”

The announcement came just one day after the performers wowed fans with the announcement of “One Mic and One Gun late on Tuesday evening (November 29). The brand new track featured two Grammy-winning MCs put on a show of public unity, while also bridging a larger generational divide within Hip Hop.

From Queensbridge From Queensbridge Atlanta, Nas and 21 perform a two-man saga over a triumphant, bouncy production by Hit-Boy and 21. They exchange verses over the three minutes-long track.

An apology-giving 21 Savage begins by retracting his previous comments on Nas and Nas, stating: “When you turn an icon, there’s no thing as a relevance.”The Her Loss star continues to refer to him as well as Nas in the form of “the Capo” and “the Don,” while stating his plans to follow the footsteps of Esco, both as a businessman and an artist.

Nas in turn, reminds listeners of his status as a G.O.A.T. in the rap world while highlighting the latest achievements and referencing Nas’s N.Y. State of Mind Tour featuring Wu-Tang Clan and King’s Disease trilogy featuring Hit-Boy.

In addition, he calls on 21 Savage as well as Kodak Black, who have been at odds recently regarding 21 Savage’s remarks regarding Nas relevance and the possibility of a Verzuz battle, to repair fences prior to closing the track with a statement: “Two kings… We’re sending love to all of world of culture… 21, Esco… Mass Appeal, Slaughter Gang… This is too simple King.”

Just hours before its release, “One Mic One Gun” was made public when Nas posted the album’s cover image to Instagram. The song was released shortly after Queensbridge MC’s most recent album King’s Disease III was released and 21 Savage questioned Nas’ place in the rap scene.

“I do not feel like he’s important,” he said amid an argument about the seasoned rappers. “He’s not. He’s got a loyal base of fans, and he continues to make excellent music. However, is it relevant? Nah.”

21 afterward, he clarified his remarks later on Twitter He later wrote: “I would never disrespect Nas or any legend that has paved the way for me You’ll all be trying to take what you’ve heard and take it to the next level.”

But that was not enough to stop the avalanche of negative responses, including some of the most prominent names like the Hit-Boy, Kodak Black, Fivio Foreign and Michael Rapaport condemning his decision.

After the launch of “One Mic One Gun” Hit-Boy shared a video on Instagram which captures Nas his initial reaction upon hearing the beat inside the studio. In the video the video, an energized Nas shouts “hold it up!” before saying into the camera: “I think we’re gonna abduct the rapper for a few minutes.”
