The Pharcyde Unearth’s ‘bizarre Rider Ii Leftover On Album’s 30th Year Anniversary

Pharcyde returns with their first song in the past decade just in time to celebrate thirty years since their landmark album Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde.

Based on Northern Transmissions the new track, which is titled “My Man,” was supposed to be the final track of Bizarre Ride II However, Northern Transmissions reportedly stated that it wasn’t compatible with its “adventure” that occurred throughout the entire project.

The band also celebrated the album’s birthday through their social media channels by retweeting shout-outs and thanking all for the support they’ve received over the last three decades.

J-Swift tweeted: “‘My Man’ will release on November 24, 2022. This is the 30th anniversary of the release of Bizarre Ride II: The Pharcyde. Peace Love, Peace as well as Hip Hop. To all of the fans from The Pharcyde, and Hip Hop fans everywhere I am happy to offer you this previously unreleased track titled “My Man streaming.”

Bizarre Ride II came out on the 24th of November in 1992. It has been called a pioneering album of psychedelic rap and among hip hop’s most significant projects.

Despite its G.O.A.T. standing, this album did only modestly in the charts. Billboard charts, reaching No. 75 in the year 1992. But, the 2nd track “Passin’ Me By” was recognized as gold by the Recording Industry Association of America on March 28, 1996.

The group broke up soon after the release of their second album Labcabincalifornia They have reunited at times and most recently on Fatlip’s solo project, Torpor, and a track titled “My Bad” featuring Butch Cassidy. Bootie Brown recently also worked on a track with Gorillaz on their brand new track “New Gold.”

Producer Sccit briefly talked about “My Bad” and said it could be the catalyst for more collaborations, but the decision is not his.

“An abundance of heart and soul was poured into the making of this album,” said the artist to Musicdope90s. “We spent a lot of time making every song perfect so that we could offer the world the best that it has to offer. We also would love nothing more than to unite The Pharcyde which is why we put everyone in the same room with ‘My Bad’ with the intention of breaking down the division and letting love triumph. This isn’t an ordinary Disney film, and fairytale endings aren’t what you’ll get every time.

“Only the highest of people know what’s coming up However, if this is the actual death of The Pharcyde, then this song is a memorial service. It’s a last opportunity to remember the legends of the past and offer them a proper farewell off. The music speaks for it’s own words.”
