Nas To Perform ‘king’s Disease’ Trilogy At Special New York Show

Nas has revealed a one-night performance at New York City that will show him performing the recently completed King’s Disease trilogy in all its entirety.
The performance will be held on February 24, at Madison Square Garden. Nas posted the announcement on Instagram this Friday (November 11) just a few hours after the release of his most recent album, Hit-Boy collaboration album King’s Disease 3.
In accordance with the Garden’s official Twitter account, Chase cardholders will have early access to ticket sales starting at 10 a.m. ET the day of sale (November 15) until 10 p.m. (EST) on Thursday evening (November 17). The general public will be able to purchase tickets beginning the next day (November 18,) beginning at 10 a.m.
Following an unpopular reception to this event Kanye West orchestrated Nas’s NASIR the year 2020’s King’s Disease marked the start of a new era in Nas career.
The album went on to receive it the 2021 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album which was the first time that the Queensbridge rapper was acknowledged with the Recording Academy since the arrival of his debut album in 1994.
King’s Disease 2 was released in the summer following and earned Nas his most successful album first album in the top. 3 spot at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. The album was given an extra boost due to an appearance by Lauryn Hill, who sang “Nobody.”
In an interview with the Apple Music’s Ebro Darden on Rap Life Radio in the wake of the release of the album, Nas compared Hit-Boy to the legendary 27-time Grammy Award winner Quincy Jones.
“He’s like my Quincy [Jones], you know what I mean?” Nas said. Nas. “So I feel like the next thing I do, if I was to work with Hit-Boy on the next thing I do, I think that we might do something that is going to be magical.”
The Grammy-winning duo released the album Magic as an unexpected release on December 20, 2021 with Nas spoke of the possibility of a third volume of the King’s Disease series.
Nas & Hit-Boy shared the album’s tracklist on their respective Instagram pages on Wednesday (November 9) to further build anticipation for their latest album.
King’s Disease III is a total of 17 tracks with a bonus track. In contrast to the earlier releases in the trilogy this one features Nas singing every song without the help of guest appearances.
Songs’ titles could give clues as to what listeners can expect from the album, including songs such as “Michael & Quincy,” which is named after Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones as well as “Thun” — a reference at”Thun,” a reference to Queens, New York slang which was popularized by late Prodigy Mobb Deep.
“Thun” has already emerged as a standout track, featuring Nas taking a look back at his childhood dreams of the cover of the Source as he navigated the city life along with the “thoroughbred” crew.
At the halfway point of his song, Esco turns his attention to his intense conflict with JAY Z and is amazed at the progress they’ve made and admits that he occasionally writes Hov to joke about how their feud “ain’t over.”
Brothers can do anything when they desire to. In a Range Rover, dissecting bars from “Takeover.” Sometimes I text Hova like, “N-gga, this ain’t over,” laughing. “No beef or rivals, they playing “Ether” on TIDAL.” His mafioso-style rapping is reminiscent of past albums like “It Was Written” or “The Firm,” among others.
