Metro Boomin Reels “Heroes & Villains Short Film Starring Gunna, Young Thug & More

Metro Boomin is prepping to release the Heroes & Villains album on the horizon later this week however, before the album’s release the superstar producer released a short film in the cinema that will accompany his album.
The explosive six-minute video debuted on YouTube this the 29th of November (November 29) and was written by Gibson Hazard, who also was the director of Lil Uzi Vert‘s wild “Just wanna rock” music video.
Young Metro brought in some Hollywood stars to join the fun as the legendary Morgan Freeman lent his godly singing voice to the mini-blockbuster. Atlanta’s LaKeith Stanfield was the villain.
“For decades, Metro Boomin has protected the city from the relentless danger of the evil one,” Freeman narrates. “With the shining light that shines from the Boomanati headquarters, which was once an illuminating beacon of hope, it has turned into darkness. When Metro is gone, the villains emerge from the darkness.”
Young Thug, as well as Gunna, appear on the film’s animated version as co-hosts offering viewers a glimpse at the commotion that is sweeping the city. Metro has made sure to stand up for his jailed friends by displaying “Free Youth Soccer League” flags that were displayed throughout the film.
Music from the album that soundtracks the film in the form of the 21 Savage as well as Future are heard on various elaborate songs. The final credits scene uses Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy “So I’m Appalled” sample with vocals by Chris Brown.
“Heroism isn’t about winning accolades or even beating villains, it’s the decision to put everything on the line for the sake of the people and expect nothing in return. we all know that the city is fond of its legends however, they’re in need of a hero,” Freeman adds. “Which is it that you wish to be? “You know that they say that if Young Metro doesn’t trust you Motherfucker, you should run.”
Metro then goes to an iron chain, which transforms it into a superhero and fires it up in its Metromobile in order to rescue the city. This upsets LaKeith Stanfield.
Alongside the previously mentioned celebrities, the event will also feature a performance from Travis Scott. Heroes & Villains is released on the 2nd of December and is the sequel to Metro’s previous release, Not All Heroes Wear Capes.
