Drake Loses $2m Bet On Ufc Fight

Drake lost $2 million after placing bets on a UFC title fight.

TMZ reported that middleweight champion Israel Adesanya beat Alex Pereira at UFC 281 in NYC.

Pereira was able to hit Adesanya in the fifth round with a torrent of punches, leaving him stunned. But he refused to go down. The referee intervened and ended the fight after seeing enough brutality.

Pereira’s win was his third consecutive victory over Adesanya. They had previously met in kickboxing matches.

Drake is well-known for placing large bets. In July, he won $1 million when Adesanya defeated Jared Cannonier, a mixed martial artist.

Drake’s UFC loss is not the only one he has suffered in recent weeks. Drake and 21 Savage were given a temporary restraining or for creating a fake Vogue cover to promote their joint album Her Loss.

Conde Nast, the parent company of Vogue, filed a $4,000,000 lawsuit against Drake and 21. They claimed that they had repeatedly told Drizzy and 21 Savage representatives that they did not have permission to produce or distribute the magazine.

On Wednesday, November 9, U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff ruled in Conde Nast’s favor and said that fake magazines “deceived the public” as well as misleading consumers. Billboard.

Rakoff stated that the temporary restraining order requested was in the public’s best interest to protect the public from confusion, deception and mistake.

The temporary restraining orders require Drake and 21 to stop distributing the fake magazines. According to the report, Conde Nast will eventually win the lawsuit thanks to the injunction granted by the judge. November 22 is the date for the court date.

These are temporary setbacks, but the “6 God” still has much to be proud of. After posting major numbers, Her Loss came in at the top of this week’s Billboard 200 charts.

HITS reported that Her Loss was at the top of the charts with 411,000 equivalent units in its first week. It generated 500 million streams in its first week, making it one of the most popular streaming albums ever.
