Drake & 21 Savage Hit With $4m Lawsuit Over Fake ‘Vogue’ Cover

Drake as well as 21 Savage have been sued by the parent company of Vogue, Conde Nast, for making fake Vogue magazine to promote their distinctive Her Loss album rollout.

In the words of TMZ, Conde Nast has filed a lawsuit against OVO producer and Slaughter Group rapper. Alleging that they haven’t “endorsed” the Her Loss promotional by any means.

The publisher is seeking damages of $4 million and believes that the misleading campaign is in violation of Intellectual property law. Additionally, Vogue claims that it has asked for the distribution and production of its free magazines to cease however, it was not a success.

The lawsuit came as a bit of a surprise following Drake acknowledged Vogue’s long-running Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour while unveiling the fake magazine cover on Instagram earlier this month.

The photographer captioned his snap, “Me and my brother on newsstands tomorrow”. Thank you to Anna Wintour and @voguemagazine for their love and support during this momentous occasion.

“Bitch, don’t tell me that you’re a model when you’ve never been featured in Vogue,” Drizzy rapped earlier this year in the foundation of his “Jimmy Cooks” collaboration with 21 Savage.

TMZ’s sources say that Drake’s staff are “surprised and confused” by the lawsuit since other companies such as Howard Stern and NPR have been a part of the album’s promotion campaign.

This legendary host radio was awed by Drake as well as 21 Savage’s wit in making use of clips on his program as the basis for fake interviews, which included famous quotations of both rappers.

On his SiriusXM program earlier in the week, Stern disclosed that “[Drake] did this sorta strange thing.” “Drake created false press tours in place of an official media tour and then made the fake press tour public. Later, he published a video in which he interviews me.

“He used video from another interview to respond to my questions while making himself appear to be in our studio.

Also from him: “Drake performed so well that the media is treating it as though it were true. We could make our entire program as if because we have enough video from the other shows we’ve made.”
