Drake & 21 Savage Agree That They Helped Each Other Write Each Other’s ‘her Loss’ Verses

Drake, 21 Savage opened up about their creative process for the project She Loss. They revealed that they collaborated on each other’s verses.
21 Savage describes how Drake gave directions to him in the studio, before confessing.
The rapper from Atlanta said, “I ain’t gon cap Drake wrote some my verses for this album.” “These facts. I don’t care what a negga says. Drake helped me with some my verses on this record.
Drake responded by saying that he was grateful for both the support and the friendship. He laughed and said, “By the Way, you also helped with shit too.”
21 Savage is not the first to share responsibility for Drake’s lyrics in this collaborative effort. The Certified Lover Boy rapper was criticized for making a series jabs at Megan Thee Stallion and D.R.A.M, as well as Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian, shortly after the album’s release.
The Slaughter Gang rapper made a surprise appearance on Akademiks Off The Record podcast. He revealed that Drizzy was aware of his lyrical talents and encouraged him to let the chopper fly.
“When he sent the songs to me, I’m pointing at what I heard, and I tell him, “Yeah! n-gga.” Talk about shit! 21 laughed. “You know that I gass him. I’m right behind him. I stand on whatever he is standing on. You can feel whatever you want, n-gga. I’m riding.
Lil Yachty on the other side, defended controversial line on “Circo Locoin that Drake seemed to be referring to Megan’s 2020 shoot, for which Tory Lanez currently is awaiting trial.
Yachty, who is credited with production credits for Her Loss said, “I’ma clear this line-up cuz Drake’s never gonna do it,” during an Instagram Live. Megan had nothing to do. It’s about women lying about their butts being real when they are not. It’s like a “stallion”, as in she’s still fine. That was it.
Her Loss landed another No. Drake and 21 Savage both reached No. 1 albums, while also breaking at least one record. After selling over 400,000 units, debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 charts.
The joint LP by Drake and 21 reportedly generated 500 million streams. After his seventh studio album, Drizzy reached Billboard 200 for the second year.
