Cardi B Fires Back At Fan Who Claims She’s ‘Scared’ To Drop New Album

Cardi B discredits a theory by a fan that she delayed the release of her second album because it might not sell well.

Hot New HipHop reports that Cardi recently took to Twitter to address a fan who suggested the theory via social media. This was in reference to the disappointing first-week sales for Sawetie’s new EP, The Single Life.

TikTok user duprii3 shared the theory while responding to Sonny Digital’s recent tweets regarding Sawetie’s sales forecast.

“This girl is literally the best example of how you gon’ pick and choose about who y’all gon’ say something about and whom y’all gon’ critique on their career,” he said over a green screen video and a Cardi B photo. “This girl hasn’t released an album since 2018, which is going on six years. “She’s afraid to release, but you’re not saying nothing.”

After stating that Cardi B’s Kanye West, and Lil Durk-assisted top twenty single “Hot Schit,” did not do well, the TikToker said, “If we’re going to talk about somebody’s sales or where their career is,” and continuing. “Usually, you have two singles and then you release an album. “Usually, you have two singles and then an album. She is afraid to see those numbers.

Cardi replied in a tweet, “I’m not afraid of numbers honey,” which was later deleted. “And I don’t gotta put another album if i want I EATS GOOD OF MY DIAMOND records alone [wink emoticon]. To prove your point, don’t drag any other bitches…Grown man!”

She shared a tweet from Tourism Data about the record-breaking 2019 arena tour that made Cardi B first female rapper to earn $1 million per show.

She captioned the tweet: “Mind you, it was only seven shows …,”.” “Let’s talk about numbers.”

Cardi said, “I’m a human baby.. I’m touring the globe when my album drops.” “I have to mentally and physically prepare myself for all that. I didn’t have management for two years, but now I feel ready. I DO THINGS ON MY TIME, MY WAY.”

Cardi seemed to have had a change of heart and deleted the above statement, closing the conversation with one final tweet.

She wrote, “You know what?” “Let me hush ….Less talking and more action for haters [smiling Emojis]

Although Cardi B may be criticized for her numbers, she reached a significant milestone in October when she sold 100,000,000 RIAA-certified units.

The chart states that the certification covers singles, albums, and guest appearances. This is according to Chart. She is the most-sold female rapper with over 54 million digital downloads.

Cardi B’s news of selling over 100 million units comes after the RIAA announced that “Bodak Yellow“, featuring J Balvin, and “I Like It,” featuring Bad Bunny have sold 11 million units each in the United States.

Cardi’s hit single “Bodak Yellow“, taken from her critically acclaimed album The Invasion of Privacy made her the first female rapper to achieve a diamond record. She also became the first lead artist to reach the Billboard Hot 100 in 19 years.

Cardi B’s “I Like It” became the first female rapper with several No. #1 hits on the Hot 100. She is now the only woman in Rap history to have two songs that are certified 11 times platinum.
