Biggie To Be Resured As ‘hyperrealistic Avtar For Virtual Reality Concert

The Notorious B.I.G. will resurrect as a “true to life, hyperrealistic avatar” as part of a virtual reality concert to mark the 25th anniversary his death.

The Notorious B.I.G. Sky’s the Limit: A VR Concert experience” will be streamed exclusively on Meta VR and Facebook on December 16th. This will be in coordination with The Notorious B.I.G. Estate.

VR will also include a narrated day of Biggie Small’s life prior to the show. Fans can follow Biggie’s early days living in Bedford-Stuyvesant. You will also see guest appearances by Diddy and the Lox, Nardo Wick, Lil’ Cease, and a DJ set by DJ Clark Kent.

Voletta Wallace, Biggies’ mother, stated that “Having the ability create a variety of new opportunities to showcase my son Christopher’s music through technology advancements is difficult for me at times.” “However I have found great excitement in the process to develop his avatar and understand the value added for fans to enjoy him in ways that were unattainable up until now. We are grateful to everyone who has helped bring this project to life.

Mark Pitts, Biggie’s manager and president at RCA Records, said, “It’s amazing that we create new content for B.I.G. Biggie’s growth and evolution as an artist was lost to the world. Web3 gives us the opportunity to celebrate Biggie’s music with visuals that Biggie didn’t get to see.

B.I.G King Of Rap Poster Canvas

Biggie isn’t the only one to appear in digital form. To celebrate Biggie’s 50th birthday, a hologram of the Notorious B.I.G. was unveiled at Brooklyn Chop House. New York City also paid tribute to Biggie, lighting the Empire State Building in red-white with a crown spinning at its mast to commemorate the icon’s multiplatinum debut Ready To Dies.

Bedford-Stuyvesant was also present at the celebrations. The MTA issued special MetroCards for three subway stations closest to his home. Brooklyn’s Barclays Center conducted a huge broadcast above their entrance, which included a montage Biggie’s most influential records. The Lincoln Center hosted an orchestral tribute and then released a limited edition vinyl record of his Grammy-nominated and diamond-certified second album, Life After Death.

Holo projections are not something that rap music has done before. Dr. Dre brought a hologram from 2Pac Shakur with him to Coachella Music and Arts Festival 2012. The hologram was a complete performance that dazzled the crowd. It was so real it featured some of the legendary’s tattoos.

A virtual image of Eazy-E was seen on stage at Rock The Bells in 2013 during Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s set. Also, a posthumous ODB Hologram “performed” at the same show with his Wu-Tang Clan brothers.
