According To Reports, B.g. Will Be Released From Prison In “A Few” Weeks

B.G. could be leaving California prison, where he is currently serving the final months of a 14-year sentence earlier than anticipated.

Reports were published online that Birdman stated that his Cash Money Records protégée will be released within a few weeks. This would mean that B.G. Christopher Dorsey, real name Christopher Dorsey), could be free about a year before his last projected release date of April 7, 2024.

Musicdope90s reached out to representatives from B.G. for confirmation of the revised release date.

U.S. District Court Judge Susie Morgan denied a motion by another federal prisoner requesting that the sentence of the Hot Boy rapper, serving a 14-year sentence, be commuted.

The September request, entitled “The Court Misunderstood Defendant’s Motion, argued that a 2021 letter sent to the courts was not intended to be a legal move but was meant to raise awareness about B.G.’s dissatisfaction with the way his attorney handled a compassionate release motion.

The letter encouraged Judge Morgan to reconsider his request for a compassionate release. It also requested that the 2021 denial be not held against him. Judge Morgan said that the rapper had not provided any new evidence to alter the Court’s previous decision.

Morgan had denied an earlier motion by B.G. In June, Morgan denied a motion submitted by B.G. This was supported by letters from Gary Payton, Sr. and Slim.

B.G. made his first request for early release in February after the whole Bureau of Prisons system was put under lockdown by violence at USP Beaumont. He wrote at the time that murder and mayhem were common occurrences in the federal facility where he was held, and that the public didn’t know what was happening behind the prison walls.

He claimed that his health problems make him more vulnerable to COVID-19. And he also criticized his former attorney for “incompetence”, and refuted prosecutors’ attempts to “paint” him as a violent person due to his lyrics to rap.

Morgan said that she didn’t find any “gross neglect” that would have affected Dorsey’s second motion for compassionate freedom. He’ll be sentenced.

B.G. was sentenced to a 14 year term in July 2012. He pleaded guilty to felonious possession of a firearm and to obstruct justice by persuading an associate to claim the gun.

B.G. released a statement following the sentencing. B.G. released a statement in which he stated that he approached his sentence with a positive outlook.

The statement said, “I am relieved that I discovered what my fate was yesterday because it was facing me 30 years and my case kept being pushed back,” I am ready to start my sentence because it’s NOT RIP BG, it’s FREE. It’s a blessing to be a young man, and still see the light of day because I am somebody, a father, a brother, and a son.
