Redman
Hurricane G’s popularity rose during the mid-1990s after appearing on Redman’s hit “Tonight’s da Night.” He also appeared on Xzibit’s album At the Speed of Life, and his debut album, Hurricane G, was released in 1994. Xzibit
Xzibit was the host of the MTV show “Pimp My Ride” from 2004 to 2007. Though the show was a huge success, it lost Xzibit a lot of money and he was unable to tour while earning an insignificant per-episode fee. Despite the financial loss, Xzibit signed to Extreme Music and released two albums, “Urban Ammo 2” and “Napalm”.
Def Squad
The Def Squad is a rap supergroup consisting of Keith Murray, Redman, and Erick Sermon. They are currently signed to SRC/Universal Records. The group split up in 1993, but the members of the group have continued to use various names. The members of the group, including Keith Murray and Mally G, have also collaborated with other artists. As of 2007, the Def Squad has resurfaced on several tracks, including Keith Murray and Redman’s solo albums.
All Woman
Hurricane G was a Puerto Rican-American rap artist. Her debut single, “Tonight’s da Night“, peaked at #10 on the Hot Rap Singles chart and #54 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. She was a member of the hit group Hit Squad. Hurricane G also appeared on the hit single “Public Enemy 2000” by Puff Daddy.
All Woman’s influences
The late Hurricane G was an important part of the music scene, making her one of the most influential female rappers of all time. Hurricane was born Gloria Rodriguez, and rose to prominence in the mid-1990s, collaborating with Xzibit on his “At the Speed of Life” single. Her 1997 debut album, All Woman, featured rapping in both English and Spanish. Hurricane G died of lung cancer on May 22, according to her daughter.
Her relationship with Erick Sermon
Erick Sermon is known for being one of the hottest artists in hip hop. He is also the leader of EPMD, Def Squad, and Hit Squad. His seventh solo album, Perception, is due any day now. The album features Joell Ortiz. Ambrosia For Heads sends our condolences to his family, Def Squad, and Hit Squad.
