50 Cent Teases Tv Series About Jailed Scammer Ray Hushpuppi

50 Cent has indicated that the next project in his growing film and television empire may be centered around influencer-turned-scammer Ray Hushpuppi.

After hearing that Hushpuppi was sent to prison for 11 years of prison for his part in a global fraud ring, 50 Cent shared a picture of the disgraced social media celebrity.

“For my scammers I gotta do this one, Hushpuppy series coming soon!,” the caption reads. “GLG GreenLightGang i don’t miss.

Ray Hushpuppi’s story of rise and fall seems like something straight like a scene from a movie. The Nigerian native who was given the name Ramon Abbas, built a large social media following posting pictures and videos of his extravagant life.

As per BBC News Hushpuppi’s deactivated Instagram account was once awash with more than 2.8 million followers. Authorities claim that his posts on social media clearly stated that his lifestyle of luxury that he portrayed on the internet was financed with the help of Hushpuppi had been “one of the most prolific money launderers in the world.”

In the court papers, Don Alway, assistant director of the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office stated that “Abbas leveraged his social media platforms… to gain notoriety and to brag about the immense wealth he acquired by conducting business email compromise scams, online bank heists and other cyber-enabled fraud that financially ruined scores of victims and provided assistance to the North Korean regime.”

Ray Hushpuppi has pleaded guilty the charges that he conspired to perpetrate wire fraud as well as conspiracy to commit money laundering as well as aggravated identity theft after being indicted for trying to rob a businessperson with $1.1 million in 2021. The money was allegedly meant to fund an educational institution in Qatar.

He also admitted that he participated in “several other cyber and business email compromise schemes that cumulatively caused more than $24 million in losses,” the U.S. Justice Department revealed at the time of the indictment.

In addition to the 11 year prison sentence Ray Hushpuppi has also been ordered to pay back the victims of two in the amount of $1,732,841. He claims that he only took home $300,000 from the scam that he was indicted initially for.

In the wake of the success of the crime-fictional world depicted in his smash STARZ franchise Power 50 Cent has been pursuing the show with real-crime-inspired content.

Although the network cut off connections between STARZ on September 1, the BMF is his second hit series for the network is in the process of preparing for its new season. A companion to the program, The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Quickly, premiered on October 28.

This month was also the month that saw the launch of the first ever scripted 50 Cent podcast with the title show Surviving El Chapo The Twins Who Killed an El Chapo drug Lord. The show that is streaming across all platforms, is based on the real-life tale of identical twins from Chicago Peter as well as Jay Flores who were responsible for bringing down the notorious Mexican criminal, Joaquin Archivaldo Guzman Loera known as El Chapo.

His most recent offering in the realm of true crime will be the docu-series Hip-Hop Homicides which premiered on A&E on the 3rd of November.

As the company was launching 3 projects 50 Cent also has signed a contract together with Lucid Media for a three-project collaboration. The details of the partnership as well as the financials haven’t yet been disclosed, however, the first film will be a unscripted crime thriller that will be launching at Peacock next year.

“I am excited by the kind of stories we’re going to be bringing to life together, and can’t wait for the first project to reach Peacock next year,” 50 Cent stated. “G-Unit Film & Television continues to go from strength-to-strength, and this partnership with Lusid is another great collaboration for the team.”
