21 Savage Catches Heat Nas For Saying “Isn’t Relevant”

21 Savage may have had his New York Passport revoked this week after he claimed “isn’t relevant” in today’s rap scene.

After the release of Nas’ new album King’s Disease III on Saturday, 21 asked the Clubhouse what the definition of relevance was. He replied, “I don’t believe he’s pertinent.” I don’t think Nas is relevant.”

As everyone started arguing, 21 Savage’s comments seemed to have struck a chord in the chatroom.

After things settled down, the Slaughter Gang boss, took to the stage. He explained that Queensbridge’s icon is no longer relevant, but that he still has a loyal fan base and makes great music. The topic of ’90s rappers who are still dropping albums today was the focus of heated conversation.

King’s Disease III was released by Nas on Friday (November 11, 2011). This is the third installment in his Hit-Boy-produced series for which he won his first Grammy Award. It is also commercially relevant, as the first two parts earned him Top 5 debuts on Billboard 200.

Social media was flooded with angry Escobar fans who were outraged by 21’s incendiary remarks.

One fan said, “It’s funny that Nas at 49 just released 4 albums of better quality than his entire discography.” It’s even funnier when 21 Savage has been relevant solely because of Drake in the past year.

Another commentator added, “Clubhouse really demonstrated how simple-minded/intelligent/chatty 21 Savage was.” Imagine a rap na-gga calling Nas irrelevant.

21-year-old Drake is coming off his His Loss joint venture with Drake. has topped the Billboard 200 after netting nearly 400,000 album-equivalent units of sales in the first week.

The joint LP by Drake and 21 reportedly generated 500 million streams. After his seventh studio album, Drake is now at the top of the Billboard 200.

21 Savage expressed regret for comments made about the Bankroll New.

21 was frustrated that No Plug, his friend who was caught on camera engaging with Bankroll fresh moments before he was shot dead, was being blamed for the murder of the Atlanta rapper.

21 Savage stated that he regrets the comments he made about Akademiks during a sit-down for his off-The Record podcast and that he should not have spoken poorly of the dead.

“I ain’t gonna lie, Rest in Peace Bankroll. “I was on some young, dumb, just talking too much shit when that happened,” said the leader of Slaughter Gang. “And I reached out to fix that shit, like right after it happened,” the Slaughter Gang leader said. But n-ggas felt exactly what they felt so I fell back.

He said, “But I knew that I was wrong.” After seeing that shit on my mama, I realized I was wrong to speak on such a type of shit. It didn’t really have anything to do with me. It was just a young n-gga shit.
