Tory Lanez Sued By Pregnant Woman Over Alleged Hit & Run
A woman and her partner have filed a lawsuit against Tory Lanez in the wake of an alleged hit-and-run that happened in Miami on January 1, 2021.
Krisha and Jesse Grullon, according to TMZ, have filed a lawsuit against the Canadian actor, alleging that he side-swiped their car with his green Bentley SUV in January.
The Grullons claimed that Tory struck them while they waited at a stop sign just after exiting a freeway. The couple said that the “Say It” singer went with his night as if nothing had happened and didn’t stop to see how they were doing.
It is hoped that Lanez would take the stand for a deposition in 2023 despite Krisha’s claim that she was four months pregnant at the time.
Andell Brown, Tory’s attorney, has played down the incident and stated in response to TMZ’s allegation that the charges are “baseless” and will be “laughed out of court.”
Given that the couple didn’t submit an insurance claim until July 2021, Brown believes the entire incident was made up and unfairly targeted his client. He added that in a police complaint, the Grullons also claimed they were struck by a silver car, but that they later modified their story after finding out about Tory’s opulent SUV.
He continued by saying that the insurance provider looked into the situation and, after consulting with lawyers, concluded that the claim was without merit.
The beginning of Tory Lanez’s trial in the Megan Thee Stallion is also approaching.
