Styles P Announces His Retirement & Plans For Two Final Albums

Styles P has announced he’s retiring as a solo artist, but not before he gives his fans two more albums.
The LOX veteran posted a lengthy farewell on Instagram to his loyal followers, explaining that he is only stepping away from the microphone to be more “spiritually healthy.”
He wrote, “I think I’ve run myself down a little bit over the last few years. Being an extremely dedicated health advocate and emcee. I’m not really good at multitasking, so my drive keeps me going instead, and my family, business partners, and coworkers pick up the slack. After giving it further thought, I decided that I should end my solo career because I had “given you guys enough.”
Styles went on to say that although he still intends to collaborate with his fellow LOX members Jadakiss and Sheek Louch, aside from the occasional feature, his solo career will soon come to an end. He continued by saying that he will devote more of his time to a number of “important boards” and that he will be leaving his juice firm, Juices For Life.
Naturally, he continued, “You will see me in the places, and naturally, I’m going to keep pushing the trend when it comes to health. “I just need to come up with a better approach to accomplish it so that I don’t hurt my mental state or cause trouble for others. I will introduce you to one of my partners in the juices for life business and the task will be completed. The populace requires good health. Never forget that the messenger is never more important than the message! So share the path if you know it. That’s all that matters!
He added in the IG post itself that he still plans to release “two more solo projects,” but wouldn’t offer any more details surrounding them.
Styles P’s latest release as a solo artist was Ghosting in 2021, in the same year, he also collaborated on Wreckage Manor with Havoc. In August, Styles honored the 20th anniversary of his popular solo record “Good Times” with a special event in his native New York City. Styles’ solo career is almost as prolific as his work with The LOX.
For a unique celebration of the song, Styles, Jadakiss, and Sheek Louch took over New York’s Irving Plaza on August 18. A large number of artists, including Havoc, Smoke DZA, Nems, Statik Selektah, and others, participated in the big concert.
On the Billboard Hot 100, “Good Times” made its debut at No. 22 on August 11, 2002. It was a radio hit and the first single from Styles P’s debut album, A Gangster and a Gentleman; it was also featured on the Soul Plane soundtrack.
Recently, Jadakiss and Styles appeared at Mariah Carey’s performance at the Global Citizen Festival to sing the group’s “We Belong Together” remix.
Carey sang the acapella opening hook for the “We Belong Together” remix, which is featured on the 2005 Ultra Platinum edition of The Emancipation of Mimi, as she brought the two New York MCs onto the stage.
Since Mariah and both MCs performed the remix on a Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve special on December 31, 2005, the three performers hadn’t performed the song together.
