When the Duffer Brothers announced the release dates of Season 4 of Stranger Things, they made it clear that it would be the last season. However, they also hinted that spinoff possibilities might be in the works. They also stated that writing for Season 5 will start in August, and filming will likely begin in 2023. That would put the release date in 2024 or 2025.

It won’t be split up

The Stranger Things universe will continue on after the fifth season, despite rumors suggesting otherwise. There have been no official announcements yet about a new season of the series, which will most likely be called Stranger Things: Eleven and Vecna are dead. There are rumors that the show might continue in different forms, such as spin-offs and sequels. However, the Stranger Things universe may continue on in some other way, too, and that could include a time jump.

It won’t be set in Hawkins, Indiana

Season five of Stranger Things won’t be set in Hawkins in 2024. Season four shifted the action to California, where Joyce, Will, Jonathan, and Eleven were all living. However, Season five will bring the main characters back to Hawkins. Although season five won’t be set in Hawkins itself, it will take place in the town.

Although there is no specific date for Season 5’s release, the Duffer Brothers have teased that episodes will be shorter than season four. In fact, each episode will last no longer than an hour, with the exception of a two-hour finale episode that wraps up the entire series. In addition, Season 5 will reunite the original group from season one.

The plot revolves around a boy who disappears near a top secret government lab. Meanwhile, a mysterious young girl, who has telekinetic abilities, appears in a diner. The teen is on the run from the government laboratory, which is researching mystical phenomena, and may have unwittingly opened a portal to another dimension.

It won’t be set in the Upside Down

There are many theories about Stranger Things 5 2024. The first theory is that the show is not going to be set in the Upside Down, but it may have some similarities. Both series are about parallel universes, and the main theme is that the hero searches for a magical object to save a loved one. Season 4 volume 2 answers some of the most popular mysteries, including how the Upside Down was created.

Season 5 will focus on Vecna, the mysterious entity that looms over Hawkins. She was introduced in the fourth season and has been connected to Eleven. Her presence still hangs over the town, and Will has sensed it. The next season will continue the mystery of Vecna, including how she ended up in the Upside Down.

The series’ writers Matt and Ross Duffer have been trying to keep the supernatural element grounded in reality. Another plotline for Season 5 takes a cue from the Montauk Project, a long-running conspiracy theory in the 1980s that claimed the US military had experimented on children at Camp Hero in Montauk during the Cold War.
