Odell Beckham Jr. Best Fits: Ranking Nfl Teams That Should Sign Him

The majority of experienced NFL free agents have to resort to jobs in the practice squad to remain in the league.
There’s also the wide player Odell Beckham Jr. The high-wattage star beats street free-agent offers. Beckham who suffered a tear to his left ACL during his time with the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI in February, and did not sign with any team during the offseason, can go to a team without having his name listed in the league’s transaction reports. He’s able to stroll the sidelines in SoFi Stadium and the Superdome to greet other stars.
When he is dressed and gets dressed, he could be the best football player in the world. Take a look at the video of the touchdown he scored against the Cincinnati Bengals in his last game.
At just at 29 and a half, his life has been full of surprises -the three-year run of production in the New York Giants, followed by major endorsements and sales of jerseys numerous injuries that have hampered his performance; a baffling transfer to the Cleveland Browns, where inconsistency and a lack of cohesion with the team’s coach Baker Mayfield prompted Beckham’s forced exile in November last year and then a spot with Los Angeles, where he played a role in the formation of an Olympic-winning team. While he heals after his 2nd ACL injury which occurred in October of 2020 teams are interested in what he’ll do next.
Beckham demonstrated his potential in just 12 games for the Rams but hasn’t had the 1,100-yard, or 80-catch season since the season of 2016. It’s not clear when he’ll be completely well. Some team executives and coaches we’ve talked with believe he’ll be ready sign in the middle of November. They’re also unsure if this timeframe is close enough to the regular season to allow him to be able to miss the season in order to ensure his health is fully restored by 2023.
“Wherever he goes will most likely be with a top quarterback,” an AFC executive stated. “He has that luxury, and why waste time with anything else?”
Many teams that have great players have a few million dollars in their budget or at a minimum make space for cap space this season. It begs the question but what kind of deal would Beckham want? It could be one-year contracts with big incentives in order to prepare for a free agency renewal in March. He could also sign a two-year contract with impressive earning potential in 2023. It could also include the possibility of a substantial sign-on bonus. Teams are likely to would like to see evidence that the fact that he’s still here before signing but it’s not a guarantee.
To assess Beckham’s market the fullest sense, we scored the best matches for his services. We also provided details on how likely each team is to take Beckham and how he’d fit in the offensive:
1. Los Angeles Rams
Why he’s right for him: Beckham had 48 receptions with seven touchdowns since the signing of L.A. last season, including nine receptions for 112 yards and 113 yards at the NFC championship game. We know that the system is working here together with Sean McVay, too. Sean McVay is the Rams coach will devise plans to focus on the inside of the field using Beckham as well as matchups with isolation beyond the numbers.
The signing of a free agent Allen Robinson has struggled to make an impact for the Rams as Van Jefferson is on injured reserve (knee). The addition of Beckham could boost the pass gameand give the quarterback Matthew Stafford a proven and effective target to match Cooper Kupp. — Matt Bowen
The reasons the Rams are logical: The majority of executives I’ve talked to believe that the Rams are the team to beat and have the best logic. This team maintains a great connection with Beckham and is intimately aware of his injury history. Beckham’s star power plays are is in Los Angeles, and he established a fast on-field relationship with Stafford.
“It makes the most sense — if you’re coming off an injury, why start over with a new offense?” An NFC director of personnel said.
The Rams are in good shape, cap-wise. They had $4.8 million of space at the time of Week 5 in the ESPN Roster Management System. They are always able to add through contract restructuring. The last month, Los Angeles earned $3.8 of extra space after making the bulk of Tyler Higbee’s salary to a signing bonus and adding voidable years onto his contract.
