It appears that Nicki Minaj and Cardi B are becoming tenser.

The world of female rappers has seen a storm of controversy today (Oct. 3). After a Twitter argument between Cardi B and JT, a member of the City Girls, broke out, Nicki Minaj got involved by switching her Twitter profile image to one of JT.

After JT’s picture was taken down, Minaj put a picture of herself holding a pen in front of her name as a neon sign in its place. According to Barbz, this would indicate that Nicki is composing new music and going to the studio to record it.

Nicki, with whom Cardi has a protracted beef, changed her Twitter avatar at first to a picture of JT. In response, Cardi changed hers to a picture of Remy Ma. Cardi’s profile photo is still Remy as of the time this article was posted.

As previously noted, this all happened after Cardi and JT engaged in a heated Twitter argument. JT started by addressing a self-described “JT hate page” that implied she was resentful after GloRilla’s new song, “Tomorrow 2,” with Cardi B featured, arrived within the top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart earlier today.
Then, what had been purportedly a private messaging exchange between Cardi and JT spilled over onto the timelines of the rest of the globe. Name-calling then took place: JT responded with “wiener dog” after Cardi labeled him a “lapdog.” Cardi once referred to JT as having “prison trousers” when describing her prior time in jail for credit card theft.
