Master P & Snoop Dogg Publish Children’s Book By 10-year-old Boy Who Was Shot In The Head
Master P and Snoop Dogg are helping a boy who is blind forever as a result of gun violence. They’ve written the first children’s book.
It is believed that the No Limit Records founder teamed along with the Future Healers Program and Snoop’s Snoop Loopz cereal to help Malakai, 10, Roberts publish a book called “Adventures With Malakai in the coming year. It is about the triumph of the odds and hopes to encourage kids to achieve the same.
This Thursday (October 5,), Master P and Malakai launched the book at an event at the YMCA at Louisville, Kentucky. The child was only five when shots entered his home and hit him on the head as he slept next to his mother and his older brother. He was struck by a bullet that missed him by two centimeters and left him permanently blind, with no sensation of taste or smell.
“This book will be unique because Malakai is unique,” said Master P according to WLKY News. “I mean, Malakai has never lost hope despite all the challenges he has faced and this book will be unique. The book is all about children which means we’ll be able to help youngsters and help Malakai keep his adventure in motion.”
He said: “It’s going to be amazing for the children. We want our kids to learn how to overcome challenges and, when he loses his eyesight due to the traumas he’s gone through, it’s been awe-inspiring to be able to create a novel together with Malakai.”
Master P and Snoop are also joining forces to create an all-new company called Momma Snoop which was revealed earlier this month. The breakfast brand aims to fill the gap created by the now-defunct Aunt Jemima brand in offering oatmeal, grits and grits as well as pancake mix, maple syrup and other breakfast items.
“There was a gap in our culture after they pulled “Aunt Jemima” off on the shelves,” Snoop said in an announcement. “We’re substituting it with ‘Momma ‘ Snoop Pancake Mix, Syrup oatmeal, grits and syrup, which will bring diversification to the grocery store sector and create opportunities for minority-owned food items as well as brands.”
Snoop Loopz and Momma Snoop are made by Broadus Foods, the West Coast legend’s Broadus Foods company, and have Master P serving as CEO. Broadus Foods aims to fund charitable causes and encourage empowerment.
