Commanders’ Brian Robinson Jr Plays Months After Being Wounded In Shooting

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. received standing ovation after he returned to FedExField over a month after being shot and wounded during an attempted robbery.
Robinson was activated and was wearing full gear and pads when he ran onto the field in preparation for their game against Tennessee Titans. Washington was hoping to end their three-game losing streak by giving Robinson one run for two yards in quarter one.
Ron Rivera, Washington’s head coach, said Wednesday that Robinson is on the right track to participate in the game. Rivera also spoke about Robinson’s mental health going into Week 5.
