Boosie Badazz Goes Off On Kanye West For ‘disrespectful’ ‘White Lives Matter’ T-shirt
Kanye West has come under fire from Boosie Badazz for wearing a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt while making an appearance at Paris Fashion Week on Monday (October 3).
Ye and the hardline commentator Candace Owens both wore the shirt to the YZY Season 9 premiere this week in Paris’ 8th arrondissement. The shirt will be included in the new lineup.
It goes without saying that the shirt has caused controversy online because the phrase “White Lives Matter” has traditionally been used by white supremacists and opponents of the Black Lives Matter movement. The Anti-Defamation League even went so far as to label the phrase a hate slogan. Boosie concurred with those who criticized the clothing, claiming that Ye is disrespecting his own culture.
“@kanyewest YOU PUT THIS DISRESPECTFUL SHIT ON AFTER ALL WE’VE BEEN THROUGH AS A RACE! You don’t give a damn about how Black people have suffered and died at the hands of White people, and you claim that Bush doesn’t like Black people. REALLY N-GGA,” Boosie tweeted.
The Yeezy mogul made his own runway debut on Saturday as a model for Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection before Kanye West’s YZY Season 9 fashion show (October 1). The rapper began the performance by performing on a flooded and muddy runway at Parc des Expositions.
Ye’s decision to dress in political attire is not surprising given his proclivity for controversy over the past several years. He garnered a lot of criticism for wearing a Make America Great Again cap and saying that American slavery had been a “choice” for Black people in 2018 when he prominently supported former president Donald Trump.
At the time, West remarked on TMZ Live, “When you hear about slavery for 400 years: For 400 years, that sounds like a decision.” “You spent 400 years there… And everyone of you?”
Boosie Badazz is also no stranger to expressing his views online. His most recent criticisms follow a call for Black people to boycott the recently released Netflix original series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which chronicles the murders of legendary serial murderer Jeffrey Dahmer, who predominately targeted Black men and boys for death.

A few hours later, Boosie added to his appeal by stating that the relatives of the victims ought to receive payment for the concert.
He was heard saying in a clip, “As Black people, we need to outlaw this Jeffrey Dahmer movie. “What he done to our race is some horrible shit. We must refuse to watch this dreadful movie on Netflix. Every money Netflix makes should go to the families of the victims.
