Snoop Dogg Unveils New Breakfast Line Following Success Of ‘Snoop Loopz’ Cereal

Snoop Dogg has announced the products of the second Broadus Foods line, Momma Snoop Breakfast Foods just a few days after launching the first line, Snoop Loopz.

The rapper and businessman presented the collection on Instagram this Thursday (September 22). Mama Snoop includes breakfast staples like instant oatmeal, grits and oatmeal, as well as pancake mix, and maple syrup.

“That’s what we’re doing this,” Snoop says in the IG clip “Makin it simple for you to get up early in the morning, grab food, and start your day with a bang. Something healthy, something”generational,” something to me, and P for you, and to yours.”

Broadus Foods is a partnership with Snoop (real name Calvin Broadus) and Master P who have called themselves as the “Kings of breakfast foods.” Based on the website Broadus Foods, the business was created to preserve the legacy left by Snoop’s mother, Beverly Tate, who was a passionate advocate for feeding the families of her community. Tate passed away in October 2021.

Beyond personal motivation, Snoop and P hope that their brand will “inspire economic empowerment by bringing diversification to the grocery store sector and providing opportunities for minority-owned products as well as brands.”

“There was a gap in our culture after they removed the ‘Aunt Jemima from the shelves,” Snoop wrote in his caption. “We’re substituting it with ‘Momma’s Snoop the pancake mix, syrup, grits, and oatmeal to bring diversification to the grocery store industry, and generate opportunities for minority-owned food items as well as brands.”

This is Snoop’s third venture into the world of food, Master P, who is his CEO at Broadus Foods, has been in the food industry for a long time. In the year 2019, The No Limit Records founder launched Rap Noodles, a line of rapper “ICON” Ramen noodles offering four different flavor options: Boosie (Louisiana Hot and Spicy Chicken) and Master P (Creamy Chicken Gumbo), E-40 (Prime Rib) as well as Romeo Miller (Veggie Medley).

P was also a restauranteur in the year 2019, following the establishment of Big Poppa Burgers, in his hometown in New Orleans. This year, he announced the plans for opening a second restaurant in Nashville in Tennessee, in which the son of his Hercy Miller is currently playing in basketball for Tennessee State University.

In the past, P and Hercy partnered with Romeo Miller to bring a bottled water company named LA Great Water to the market.
