Queen ELIZABETH II has passed away, but her love lives on
Queen Elizabeth II on the 8th of September (local time) passed away in Balmoral Castle in Scotland, aged 96. Her death left a profound sorrow and sadness, not just within the heart of British people, but also across the globe.
At 6:45 p.m. on the 8th of September (local hour), Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth II had passed away at the age 96.
In two short but heartbreaking declarations, Buckingham Palace said: “The Queen passed away peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and Queen will stay at Balmoral tonight and return to London tomorrow.”
Shortly after that, leaders in Britain and around the world shared their sadness at the passing of the Queen, the longest-reigning monarch in history.
In a first statement, the new King Charles III – the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II – said: “The passing of my beloved Mother, Her Royal Highness, is a moment of greatest sadness for me and all of us. whole family members. We deeply mourn the passing of a respected Monarch and much-loved Mother. I know her passing will be deeply felt across the country, territories and Commonwealth as well as countless people around the world.”

British Prime Minister Liz Truss, appointed prime minister by the Queen on September 6, said the Queen’s departure was a great shock to Britain and the world.
“Queen Elizabeth II is the rock on which modern England is built. Our country has grown and flourished under her reign. Britain is as great as it is today thanks to the Queen,” – Mrs. Truss expressed grief.
