Post Malone Cancels Boston Show After Onstage Accident: ‘I’m Having A Difficult Time Breathing’
Post Malone suffered a recent injury during the Twelve Carat Tour, which is impacting his health more today than initially believed. The following day (September 24) Post Malone performed “I Like you (Happier Track)” the artist announced his decision to cancel his Boston concert after the pain was too much to bear.
“Boston I love Boston and I love you so very much,” he wrote in the second part. “On tour, I typically get up at 4 pm, but today I woke to a loud rumble from one side of my body. I felt so great the night before, but this morning it was so different from what it did. I’m having hard breathing, and I feel intense pain every time I move my body or breathe.
“We’re being treated in the hospital However, because of this pain, I’m unable to perform tonight. I’m so sorry. All tickets purchased for tonight’s performance are valid for the new date we’re preparing at the moment. We’re so sorry, I am so grateful for you all. I’m devastated however I’ll make it amends to you. I cherish Boston. Boston I’ll be seeing you in the near future. I’m sorry .”
Post Malone actually went on to perform after he fell into the pit. He also assured his fans that the fall the singer took was not more serious than it appeared. According to an Instagram video uploaded by their manager of his: “[It] winded me pretty well. I was pretty well. We just returned from the hospital and all is great.
“Everything’s good. They’ve provided me with pain medication and everything to keep us kicking to the side on this tour.”
Although there’s a significant amount of dates to go for the North American leg of the Twelve Carat Tour, as the show’s final performance won’t occur till November 15, the date is not precise whether Post Malone will return to the stage. The singer is also scheduled to perform with legendary rock group The Red Hot Chili Peppers for their 2023 Australia and New Zealand tours in the midseason.
