Nicki Minaj’s Ghostwriting Claims Disputed By Hitmaka

Nicki Minaj has claimed that all ghostwriters who work with female rappers are inherently influenced her powerful pen and talent in general.

The Queens legend was on Queen Radio for an episode to mark her release of the girl-power-packed “Super Freaky Girl (Queen Mix)” on Thursday night (September 8).).

“It’s because everybody that is a ghostwriter right now in Hip Hop that is writing for any female, not just the artist, but the ghostwriter is a Nicki fan, too,” she added.

“Every ghostwriter that writes for women, before they write that muthafuckin’ verse, they think, ‘What would Nicki Minaj say?’ And if you disagree with that or dispute that, you’re fucking dumb.”

Hitmaka joined the Neighborhood Talk’s comments section following their posted Nicki’s comments and he was not in agreement on his Young Money rhymer. But it was not meant to be taken as negative since his belief is that her style isn’t a replicable style for other artists.

“Disagree. She has her own style and isn’t duplicated. I’m not able to identify a woman who sounds similar to Nick,” he wrote. “And I’ve worked with every girl.”

Nicki released the groovy “Super Freaky Girl (Queen Mix)” that features guest appearances by City Girls rapper JT, BIA, Katie Got Bandz, Akbar V and Malibu Mitch.

“Ayo This is”Queen Mix right here Miami, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, New York … get ready to feet up,” Nicki says to begin the track.

Nicki Minaj recently made history by becoming the first solo female rapper to make an appearance at the top of the Hot 100 since Lauryn Hill did it in 1998 with “Doo Wop (That Thing)” with “Super Freaky Girl.”

The 39-year-old has previously made it to the top of her way to the top of Hot 100 as a guest with 6ix9ine for “Trollz” and she provided the boost for Doja Cat’s hit single “Say So.”

Additionally, Nicki Minaj was recognized with her own Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards in the month of March, which recognized the singer’s “outstanding contributions” and “profound impact” on music videos and popular culture.
