Kanye West Plans To Discontinue Corporate Partnerships With Adidas And Gap: ‘it’s Time For Me To Go It Alone’

The next stage of Kanye West’s career could not involve Adidas as well as Gap. According to Bloomberg, Kanye West revealed that he’ll be able to create without the aid of big corporations.

“It’s time to take it on by myself,” Ye said. “It’s fine. I made money for the company. The companies earned me money. We came up with ideas that could alter the way we wear clothes forever. As with the round jacket, and the Foam Runner, the slides which have revolutionized the world of shoes. Now is the opportunity for Ye to build the transition to the new market. There are no more corporations standing between me and my audience.”

To expand on the discussion, YE stated his corporate partners will become the “new mommies” and the other partnerships need to be an “co-parent” scenario.

Ye is currently engaged in the middle of a dispute with Adidas. Through Labor Day Weekend, Ye posted images of Adidas’s executives on Instagram including a scathing attack on the Senior Vice President/General Director Daniel Cherry III over his announcement of a new product and his choice of clothing.

On Instagram, Ye revealed Adidas attempted to cut relations with him, and offer a billion dollars payment, which he rejected.

“The way that Adidas felt they could dye my shoes and label them without my consent is quite a wild thought,” Ye wrote. “I am really interested in creating something that will change the world and something that I can pass on to my children. They wanted to take me off for $1 billion. My next year’s royalties are 500 million dollars.”

Ye would also say the legal counsel who recommended to the lawyer not to publish any information on Gap Another one of his co-partners for ten days.
