Drake & The Weeknd Have Been Rejecting Tory Lanez Collaboration Requests for Years’

Many musicians want to work with Drake and The Weeknd, like Tory Lanez, who has admitted he has been sending the duo tracks for years without success.

When a fan questioned the troubled rapper on Twitter on Tuesday (August 30), he responded that he had not yet secured any collaborations with fellow Canadian crooners for his upcoming album.

For years, I’ve been sending them tunes, but Nah, not a single one, Lanez retorted.

Early in Lanez’s career, Drake and Tory Lanez were rivals, but their relationship eventually improved, and the two even went on a brief European tour in 2019 called the Assassination Vacation Tour.

One troll ultimately clowned Lanez for admitting that his idols ignored him, but the Chixtape rapper clapped back.

“That’s embarrassing,” the troll wrote. “Who would ever admit that.”

“Me cuz it’s not embarrassing to me I’m an incredible artist,” Lanez replied. “No loss they are still great.”

Tory Lanez reveals his favorite album

In other sections of his Q&A, Tory Lanez mentioned Taylor Swift as his favorite artist and said that if he had to choose a favorite album, he would choose Daystar or the contentious album Lost Cause, which he put out in part to address the accusations that he shot Megan Thee Stallion earlier in 2020.

For allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot in 2020, Tory Lanez is currently under investigation by the police. In July, Lanez’s attorneys requested that the trial’s scheduled start date of September 14 be postponed owing to “possible conflicts” with another case involving Meg.

It is yet unknown if the court would allow the request because she felt it would be “premature” to postpone the trial.

In a separate complaint stemming from an alleged 2019 incident at LIV Miami, Love & Hip Hop: Miami star Christopher Michael Harty, aka Prince, was allegedly punched by 30-year-old rapper Lanez.
For the alleged physical, psychological, and mental suffering caused by the “blunder force injuries” to Prince’s neck, chest, and back, the lawsuit asks for specific damages. With the lawsuit, Lanez is already having a difficult time because his attorney last week filed a motion seeking for permission to discontinue representing him.

The lawyer stated in court records acquired by RadarOnline that he is “unable to adequately defend” Lanez and advised the court that it would be in everyone’s best interest for him to quit. According to reports, the judge approved the request.
