Cardi B Is Glad Usher’s Finally Getting The Props He Deserves: “He Is A Legend”

Cardi B holds Usher and his music in a special space in her heart, and she’s content that he’s receiving the recognition he deserves from the people of today.
The Bronx bombshell sent the R&B icon flowers in a heartfelt tweet that she posted the following day (September 9).
“I’m so glad @Usher is getting the love he deserves,” she tweeted. “Y’all were trying him for a couple of years but I’m glad he overcame that because he is a LEGEND.”
Usher, as well as Cardi B, have not yet worked together in music, however, the Grammy-winning pair appeared in the 2019 Hustlers movie along with Jennifer Lopez.
The singer born in Atlanta was unwilling to accept the R&B crown but accepted the much-discussed title of King of R&B title during interviewing Bevy Smith back in the month of August.
“I mean, you call me that, I’ll definitely carry it,” said Usher. “I’m an incline my crown, knowing my place on shoulders of the iconic figures of our times. It’s Michael [Jackson] that I stand on the shoulders and it’s James Brown that I stand on the shoulders of, it’s Ronald Isley I stand on the shoulders of, it’s Luther Vandross, it is Barry White, it is Teddy Pendergrass.”
He went on to say: “It is all of the amazing artists like Marvin Gaye, who will not be forgotten for so long as there is a breathing space in my body to breathe. They’re all there. In the end, because of that, yeah, if you would like to crown me I want to know who’s better.”
Usher does not see the point in taking part in the Verzuz contest, despite the fact that fans demand Usher to take on Chris Brown.
“I think if you ever came to my show, you would understand that I don’t even think a Verzuz could handle all of the songs that I have to be honest,” said he declared. “It’s like I could handle it all on my own. But I’m not going to do this. It’s not the goal of Verzuz” me against me.”
In the case of Cardi B, her fans are waiting for the release of her sophomore album which is expected to drop in 2022.
Her most recent hit single featuring the Lil Durk and Kanye West-assisted “Hot Shit,” came out in the month of July. The song has reached No. 60 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Cardi delighted a crowd of NYC youngsters last the evening of Friday (September 9) by appearing at Community Capacity Development, a non-profit organization that hosts a back-to-school event. “It’s all about the kids,” she said to FOX5.
