The record of premiere views in HBO history is called “House of the Dragon”

House of the Dragon – a prequel to the TV blockbuster Game of Thrones (Game of Thrones) has officially launched on platforms in the US.

Surprisingly, in the premiere of the movie “House of the Dragon” attracted nearly 10 million viewers on HBO. This is also the biggest movie premiere in HBO’s history.

Immediately after the premiere, HBO content director Casey Bloys directly thanked the fans for coming back to this series.

“It was great to see millions of Game of Thrones fans back with us yesterday,” he stated, “House of the Dragon has an incredibly talented cast and a dedicated crew. We put all our heart into the production process, so we are happy with the positive response from the viewers.”

Also according to the Hollywood Reporter source, the film got off to a very good start, bringing in the largest audience for a single night for HBO since the final episode of the original series in May 2019.

The first episode also broke out more in viewership than the first episode of Game of Thrones in 2011.

However, this was because Game of Thrones was still a new series to television audiences at the time, while House of the Dragon already enjoyed the massive success of its predecessor series.

The Game of Thrones prequel is set some 200 years before the main events of the previous series, focusing on the Targaryen family. The film is based on the book Fire & Blood by writer George R.R. Martin published in 2019.

Along with the heat of the first episode, the audience believes that House of the Dragon will become HBO’s trump card in the near future.

This series is very likely to continue the success of Game of Thrones, bringing in many great awards as well as becoming a favorite series of many audiences around the world.
