The Game Taps Kanye West, Nipsey Hussle And Other Artists Named On The ‘Drillmatic’ Track List
The Game is preparing to release the Drillmatic Heart Vs. Mind album in the days prior to the album’s release, The Compton native has revealed the tracklisting.
The album is scheduled to release this Thursday (August 12) The 30-song, star-studded album was produced by executive Hit-Boy. It includes songs from Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, Moneybagg Yo, NBA YoungBoy and the late Nipsey Hussle.
Other artists as part of Drillmatic are Roddy Ricch, 2 Chainz, Pusha T, Rick Ross, Chris Brown, Jeremih, Cassi, Chloe Bailey, G Herbo, YG, Big Sean, Cam’ron Blueface, Blxst, Fivio Foreign, Ty Dolla $ign and many more.
A track featured on the album Drillmatic is the sharp Eminem diss track “The Black Slim Shady,” which sees Game unleash a 10-minute tongue-lash at Marshall Mathers.
Brief about the situation in the video
The video starts with a skit that revolves on the story of an Uber driver who’s been assigned to drive Game to a mysterious spot in Detroit however, the location is “somewhere near 8 Mile.” Game is later able to discover that his driver’s father is Stan the fictional, die-hard Eminem fan who died in the final moments of Detroit rapper’s 2000 smash “Stan.”
Drillmatic is Game’s 10th studio record. He was heavily involved in the project with Hit-Boy who, in addition to being EP, produced five albums on it.
“You inspired me to complete this crap.. You deserve all the praise my N-GGa !!!!!! I’ll never forget this.” Game wrote in an Instagram message under Hit-Boy’s Instagram post to promote the Drillmatic.
Before the album’s release Game established the benchmark extremely in the direction of this album, naming the album Drillmatic”2022’s “album of the year.”
“Drillmatic the most important album of the year out all over the world at midnight on Friday, August 12th! It’s a must! !” he wrote. “I swear I’ll go 30 for 30, no skipping !!!! “As Hit-Boy says… “‘issa 30 clip’ ! !”
The project has been a source of excitement, The Game paid the L.A. Leakers a visit earlier this month. They ripped off a new freestyle that was never heard before over a Hit-Boy beat.
The game has referred to several of his rapper contemporaries across the years, the years, including Hip Hop dignitaries such as Kanye West, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, and many more.
” Ain’t no competition, so Kendrick went to Africa/ Ain’t no competition Cole went and got his baskets up/ But I’m here masking up, with the masking tape, friends knocking on the door, we closed, don’t ask for Ye/ You see the Aftermath chains then don’t ask for Dre/ I’m a legend now, fuck when I pass away,” He rhymes.
