Snoop Dogg’s Upcoming Comedy Film ‘Bromates’ Gets Release Date

With the release of the brand-new comedy film Bromates, starring Lil Rel Howery and Josh Brener, Snoop Dogg is advancing his Hollywood aspirations.

Quiver Distributions has acquired the movie, and on October 7 it will be made available on demand. According to the agreement, Quiver will own the film’s rights and distribute it to an additional 100 screens across the country in addition to owning the rights to the West Coast icon.

In the Court Crandall-directed and produced movie Bromates, two closest friends (Howery and Brener) who recently broke up with their partners decide to move in together. Things start to become more and more out of control as the two find that living with a brother isn’t exactly what it’s made out to be.

Snoop himself has a role in the film alongside Brendan Scannell (Heathers), Asif Ali (WandaVision), Jessica Lowe (Blended), Flula Borg (Pitch Perfect), Ken Davitian (Borat), Taryn Manning (Orange Is the New Black), Marla Gibbs (The Jeffersons) and Rob Riggle (The Hangover).

The movie will carry a special message

According to Crandall, the movie isn’t your average buddy comedy because it also promotes solar energy use and responsible “environmental stewardship” and has a message about being ecologically conscientious.

He stated, “Based partially on a true story, we attempted to produce a comedy that offered the big laughs of our favorite classic films, while offering a new spin in terms of the cast’s makeup and the subtextual emphasis on sustainable energy.”

Snoop has spent nearly 30 years in Hollywood, starting with his short film Murder Was The Case in 1994 and continuing with guest appearances on shows like Martin, The Steve Harvey Show, and others. As a companion piece to his 2004 album, R&G: The Masterpiece, he established Snoopadelic Films Inc. in 2005 and released the movie Boss’n Up.

The rapper has been promoting his new movie Day Shift with Jamie Foxx before he and Eminem take the stage in a “metaverse” type performance for the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (August 28), even giving the Academy Award-winner a Death Row chain.
