Snoop Dogg Gifts Jamie Foxx A Death Row Chain
Snoop Dogg has given his co-star Day Shiftco-star Jaime Foxx Death Row chain.
The two co-stars were seen together at the red carpet for the premiere of their upcoming Netflix action film. Snoop made a point to pay tribute to Jaime by presenting her with a special new piece of equipment.
“Yeah I got something for the Foxx man you know for looking out for me, for speaking up for me, for putting me in this motion picture,” Snoop said on Entertainment Tonight. “I wanted to gift him with something special.”
He gives Foxx the red box with the label Death Row Records, and for a second, his “Blame It” star was stunned.
“You gotta be kidding me man,” he declared. “You have to be kidding me, man. It’s probably not what I believe it to be because I noticed everyone other people getting one and I was afraid to not say anything in my interview.”
Then he continued “the Death Row chain man. “The Death Row chain man. Rose gold. Let me explain why this is significant. I saw this young artist who had to battle for his existence and he would sing everyone songs and anthems. When we were having a good time and dancing, he’d sometimes come to the crib, and say”I don’t know.’
“So on this day, to visit us to watch him blossom is something special. It’s amazing to see him kick it in this film as an actor and, while at the same time, anyone knows that Snoop is the embodiment of joy, grace, and entertainment. Every time you hear Snoop Doggy Dogg, your heart glows. For this moment, right now. It’s all I have to say, my dude.”
Jamie Foxx’s inference seems right
Jaime Foxx was right in declaring that everyone seems to receive the Death Row chain these days. Snoop Dogg recently gifted Stephen Curry his own chain and had previously given one to NFL star Eli Manning for the 41st anniversary of his anniversary. Atlanta star LaKeith Stanfield who was Snoop Dogg as the character in Straight Outta Compton, also made a comment on Snoop’s remarks to request the same Death Row chain as well.
Produced and directed by J.J. Perry, the vampire hunter film Day Shift features Jaime Foxx as a hardworking blue-collar dad who divides the time cleaning the swimming pools as well as hunting for vampires while Snoop plays alongside him as a fellow hunter Big John Elliott.
“We’re making something that you’ve never seen before,” Foxx stated in a behind-the-scenes interview. “It’s entertaining and the stunts you witness are incredible and they’re practical. The method J.J. uses for all of his stuntwomen and actors is amazing. I’m eager for the world to be able to take a taste of this and discover the best way to get rid of vampires.”
Snoop Dogg as well as Jaime Foxx have had nothing other than affection and respect for one for a long time, and the former even claimed he’d like someone similar to Foxx to portray the character in a biopic.
“I don’t know who could play me,” said he declared in February of 2021. “I believe it’s going to take a lot to be able to win me over. When I imagine someone playing you, I’m thinking of the way Jamie Foxx played Ray [Charlesin the movie “Ray. The actor was right on. Therefore, I’d have to find a Jamie Foxx or somebody that could actually be Snoop Dogg on the screen and provide me with all the elements.”
