Potential Spoiler on Plans for WWE Clash at the Castle Main Event

With an iron grasp on the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship for the past two years, Roman Reigns has ruled WWE like no before.

Reigns won the Universal championship in August 2020, a week after making a comeback on television. At WrestleMania 38, he unified the title with Brock Lesnar’s WWE Championship.

A who’s who of the WWE appears on the list of competitors who have fallen to Reigns, including Lesnar, John Cena, Edge, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt, and others.

Is the end Near?

This Saturday, Reigns will defend the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at Clash at the Castle against Drew McIntyre. 

The two faced off one-on-one at Survivor Series 2020, where Reigns won. But the result could be much different this time. 

WrestleVotes reports that there have been discussions about Reigns losing at this weekend’s event for the first time in a long time.

It’s reported that “multiple ideas” have intrigued those who will decide the finish for Reigns Vs. McIntyre, which will headline Clash at the Castle.

McIntyre: Why it makes sense

A McIntyre victory makes sense even though Reigns has been practically unstoppable since going dark and becoming the Tribal Chief.

McIntyre has yet to win the World Championship in front of a live audience; his first victory came at WrestleMania 36, which was held in an empty arena, and his second victory came in the Thunderdome.

The only Superstar that would make sense to defeat Reigns at the moment is McIntyre, who has similarly been shielded in previous years.

A World Title change this weekend would go a long way toward demonstrating the significance of stadium concerts outside the United States, especially in light of rumors that WWE is considering adding more overseas stadium shows (depending on the success of Clash at the Castle).
