My Chemical Romance play ‘Bury Me in Black’ for the first time in 19 years as they kick off a US reunion tour


My Chemical Romance plays ‘Bury Me in Black‘ on their first performance in nearly 19 years when they begin their US reunion tour.

The group performed in The Paycom Center in Oklahoma City for the first of a tour which will continue until the beginning of October.

On the night, they performed the song “Bury Me In Black” for the very first time in 19 years, as the second track in the set. They then went on to perform ‘This is the Best Day Ever for the first time since 2005.

In addition to the song, they dedicated the track ‘The Ghost Of You to Doug McKean, the producer who passed away at the age of 54 in the month of June along with his most recently completed work for the group’s return single “The Foundations Of Decay’. When he passed away, MCR led tributes, noting: “My Chemical Romance lost Doug McKean, a dear colleague, a friend and a friend, the brother of our band, problem solver genius, an integral element in our musical. Doug was a man who was funny and helped us become better was always there to our aid. We will miss him deeply. He will always remain.”

At The Oklahoma City show, the band performed their hits “Teenagers,” ‘I’m Not Okay (I Promise)’ as well as many others in 22 songs.
