Drake & Lebron James Team Up To Invest In Italian Soccer Team Ac Milan

Drake and NBA superstar LeBron James is among a group of investors looking to purchase Italian soccer team A.C. Milan.

The valued Serie A squad is scheduled to be purchased for about $1.2 billion along with American private equity firm RedBird, according to the Financial Times.

To finalize the deal, the New York Yankees organization will work with Main Street Advisors, a Los Angeles-based investment fund run by Lebron James, Drake, and late music mogul Jimmy Iovine.

Like the rest of his well-known teammates involved in the purchase, Drake is anticipated to be a passive investor in A.C. Milan.

A formal announcement of the deal

On Wednesday, August 31, when the new investment group will take over from the previous owner, American hedge fund Elliott Management, a formal announcement regarding the deal is anticipated.

Despite having a broad range of investments, Drake hasn’t done much in the sports world other than serving as the Toronto Raptors’ official Global Ambassador.

He previously invested in the internet startup Wealthsimple, the cryptocurrency company Moonpay, the plant-based chicken company Daring Foods Inc., and the sports media company Overtime.

King James has a history of supporting athletic organizations like AC Milan. He presently owns shares of the Liverpool FC, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Boston Red Sox.

Following Tuesday’s 0-0 tie with Sassuolo, A.C. Milan has a record of 2-2 and is still in third place in the Italian Serie A competition (August 30).

Regarding everything else, Drake had two appearances on DJ Khaled’s GOD DID album, on the songs “Staying Alive” and “No Secret.”

Recently, his OVO apparel line debuted a Hot Boys capsule paying homage to Lil Wayne’s New Orleans-born ’90s trio.
